Project Overview
A 16 kW Deye single-phase hybrid system with 32 kWh of storage and 14.88 kWp of rooftop solar, delivered turnkey to keep a busy retail and trade business running through outages and load-shedding.
The Challenge
As a busy retail and trade business, the client needed uninterrupted power to keep operations running through grid outages and load-shedding, while reducing exposure to rising electricity tariffs — without disrupting daily trading during the installation.
Our Solution
Our team engineered and commissioned a hybrid system built around a single Deye 16 kW hybrid inverter (SUN-16K-SG01LP1-EU) with 24 × JA Solar 620 W bifacial modules arranged in three strings (14.88 kWp), backed by two Deye 16 kWh batteries for 32 kWh of storage. The Deye Cloud platform provides real-time monitoring and intelligent energy management.
The Results
The installation keeps the premises powered through outages and load-shedding, maximises solar self-consumption to cut grid dependence, and is backed by a 10-year OEM warranty. The project was fully commissioned, tested and handed over in May 2026 under reference SCR-2026-001.
