Project Overview

EPC of solar PV and battery storage across multiple Kyalami school campuses, using ATESS hybrid inverters, Freedom LiTE high-voltage batteries and carport-mounted PV that doubles as shaded parking.

The Challenge

Delivering reliable, cost-saving energy across several school campuses required carport-mounted arrays that double as shaded parking, plus resilient storage to keep facilities running during outages — all installed with minimal disruption to school operations.

Our Solution

Dean Innovative Solutions delivered a full EPC across the campuses: Beaulieu College (100 kW ATESS HPS, LiTE 300/240 HV, 228 carport panels), Beaulieu Preparatory (100 kW ATESS HPS, LiTE 300/240 HV, 241 carport panels), Kyalami Preparatory (50 kW ATESS HPS, 2 × LiTE 80/64 HV, 136 carport panels), and Kyalami Nursery School (30 kW ATESS HPS, LiTE 80/64 HV, 84 carport panels).

The Results

The schools now generate clean solar power with battery backup for resilience, reducing electricity costs while providing shaded parking through the carport-mounted arrays.
